I purchase this for use in an older HP Laptop to get USB 3.0 instead of just 2.0. It did not work at all. I loaded and reloaded the software and could not get the USB port to even work as a 2.0 USB, let alone 3.0. Do not buy this unless you have spare money to throw out. *** This is an official reply from Meritline.com *** You did not provide your order number with the review so we cannot look up the order information in our system. Please contact customer service for refund/exchange if the items you received is still within the warranty period as stated in the item description above.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer I bought this express card adapter to go with my Dell Inspiron E1505/6400 laptop and it works fine with the 4port USB 3.0 hub that I purchased and the new 500GB hard drive,it enables me to also connect external HHD's to my old laptop. Great product! I recommend this product for anyone who wants to upgrade.
