This item is BYTECC PG-102 supports LBA32 bit addressing meaning it will only support up to 137gb drives.

Just got mine today and tried it out. Seemed to work perfectly, and I started a large file transfer to a drive using it. When I returned home for lunch I found the drive was no longer mounted, but still plugged in to the USB adapter, and the adapter to the computer. Unplugged it, replugged it in, tried another SATA cord, tried another computer, tried another computer AND another hard drive; no matter what, it will no longer mount. My system profiler doesn't even see the adapter anymore. Oddly enough the lights still light up.

It is great tool for interchanging USB to (e)SATA. When you use it, it lights up. It is very comfortable and easy to use.

It does not work for me. Plug it cable to the ESATA port only then to the USB - nothing is recoginized. I thought I can use this to convert my ESATA optical drive to USB port, but guess not. Oh-well!!!

I didn't use this yet, so offer no rating. Note however that it does not come in packaging or with instructions -just a loose bubble wrap inside an envelope. There is no brand name indicated to say who manufactures it or where it comes from. Meritline assures though that it is indeed new, not used or refurbished.
