This heli is easy to fly and is very durable and is a great bargain for the price. Unfortunately mine didn't work when it came. I could see that the battery had come disconnected. I didn't want to send it back so I soldered the red wire back on. It's worked fine since. This is not radio controlled, it is infared like your TV remote. That means it may not work in strong direct sunlight, but it works fine inside. Remember to turn the controller on and select a channel before turning the heli on. The instructions are written in Chinese English (Chinglish) They tell you to charge the heli from the controller but a USB charging wire is also supplied. This can be used from a computer or most phone chargers. The USB end of the wire turns red while charging and turns off when charged. An extra set of heli rotors are also supplied. I've crashed mine into walls and furniture and the blades are a bit nicked up but still work fine. Rated 4 stars since I had to repair mine.

Great product for the money...this helicopter is very sturdy and holds up to crashes very well. Had trouble with the first controller and meritline shipped replacement right out and it works great. Easy to fly for beginners like myself.

This is a fun toy. I bought it just to try and fly a remote helicopter and I did. It is simple to fly. The directions owner's manual are written in poor english but you can easily get the idea of what they are trying to say. I'm quite happy with it.

I ordered this on one of their specials and for the money, I've had a blast. After you decipher the instructions and start to practice flying, this little thing really surprises you. I just don't know how they can sell these for such a low price and include delivery. This was not something I needed, but I'm really happy that I bought it.

This is the first RC copter I have bought and it is definitely a lot of fun. The controls work well and it flies very smoothly indoors. I have crashed it a few times and it still works. I wish it had a small machine gun so my cat would stop chasing it!

Personally I think this was worth the 20 bucks (with shipping) that I paid for it (caught it on the morning discount last week). If you're not doing high speed runs or high torque flights (max out straight up), the charge on this actually will last just under 10 mins from fully charged to fully dead. Of course I don't recommend flying this outside unless it's really calm (no wind) and not in a major city (wireless interferences). I've got high ceilings (like 12 foot centers), but lots of obstacles like ceiling fans and narrow hallways, so that makes it kinda fun around the house. Very durable. The first time I turned it on, I high torqued it into the ceiling twice at full throttle. Put a couple nicks in the blades, but still flies straight and true. Charge time is exactly 30 mins and like I said above you can get more like 10 mins on a charge. 4 stars for the low "play time". I'd give 5 for everything else.

Instructions were VERY poorly written - bad English to say the least. Does not fly fprward but it's too late to return it.

This item does not work as advertised. When powered up, the toy will just spin on the floor crashing into whatever is near it but will not fly. I have inspected the rotors and the rear blade, they all rotate and I can't find anything wrong. It is just baffling to me why it does not fly. If any has any ideas before I send it back, let me know.

Good for the price I paid. Does fly. Manual is poorly written. Arrived with landing gear broken. I contacted Meritline about the broken landing gear and also with a question. Very happy with the response. I received a phone call and also was emailed a prepaid Fedex label for return. But I fixed the landing gear with glue and decided to keep the helicopter. Thanks, Meritline.

This little mini copter took a real beating and kept flying. Even with a couple of the rotor wings showing good bit of damage, it still goes. Really happy with it and would definitely get another Viefly copter. I've had two Syma mini copters that only lasted a few flights before the rotors didn't spin well enough to fly. Not sure if it was a battery issue or what, but this Viefly is much better.
