    I received the Singapore discs with this order and they always burn flawlessy. The best Dual Layer Media available as long as you do not get the discs made in India.

    VERBATIM MAKES SOME OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY DISKS. MERITLINE CARRIES VERBATIM DVD+R DL 8X DISCS MADE IN SIGNAPORE, THEY ARE ALSO MADE IN TAIWAN AND INDIA; AS FAR AS I HAVE HEARD (SEE CD FREAKS FORUM) THE ONES MADE IN SIGNAPORE ARE THE BEST. THESE DISKS CAN BE BURNED AT 10X WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, USING IMGBURN - FOR EXAMPLE. USING THESE DISKS I HAVE BURNED AT LEAST HUNDREDS OF DISKS - W/O COASTERS... JEFF M. EUGENE, OREGON.

    These are the only reliable dual-layer recordable discs available. All others I've tried have high burn failure rates.

    Would give these disc an Excellent rating if they were Singapore made discs. The package said Taiwan, still alright media just don't get fooled into thinking they are the "Original" Verbatim.

    Beware. The spindle I just received are disks made in TAIWAN, not Singapore! I haven't tested the quality yet but will be sending them back if they do not work as well as the Singapore ones. Other batches of Singapore-manufactured DVD-DLs have worked flawlessly for me. Meritline need to make sure they clearly mark the country of manufacture in the list items on their site since it directly correlates to the recording material quality.

    so far all the dvd that i purchased have not worked - i am currently trying to ascertain as to whether they are counterfeit dvds; i will let you know asap

    Verbatim has always been reliable and never fails. I use a Samsung SH-S223B Burner (SATA) and they never fail. I use the: Clone 2 Burn Program for Exiting Data to burn them.

    This media was marked as manufactured in Taiwan. I keep hoping Verbatim will solve its quality problems with media made anywhere but Singapore. I tried to write 3 disks using this media and all failed verification. I ran QScan on my BenQ DW1655 at 8X, 4X, and 2.4X on the first 12 disks and saw tracking errors on the disks consistently between block 300,000 and block 600,000 - which oddly enough is not anywhere near the layer transition point at the outer edge of the disks where a lot of media brands have problems. A close look at the disks that I tried to burn showed a darkening of the surface from about 1/8" out in the data area to about 3/8" which may indicate some kind of dye thickness issue. In any case, with none of the disks I tested passing the QScan surface checks I had to return the two spindles for credit. I really do hope Mitsubishi figures this out - why their Indian and Taiwan disks can't meet the standards their Singapore media meets. I continue to get excellent re
