Discs are CMCMAG-AM3. Very disappointed to see that. DVDInfo reports overall quality as 98.08%, however. Still, I'm disappointed to add Verbatims to my list of 'disposable- not for backup' discs. Scan of my first disc from the pack here: http://imgur.com/hVP0Q Only burned the one disc so far- so while it may seem early to convict, that's how many chances you get to retrieve your data from a failed disc. Shame on you, Verbatim!! The brand once synonymous with quality- now just another roll-of-the-dice.

UPDATE to earlier review: I've since burned 104 of these discs. Unlike others, I've not had any coasters. I thought it only fair to say that. I still won't use them for important backups, but for casual use, they'll do. If Verbatim's goal was to target the lowest-common-denominator in the blank DVD market, I suppose they hit it. They were already less expensive than Taiyo Yuden, and with TY being bought by JVC, they [were] a bastion of quality among questionable discs. No more. Now, they're a roll-of-the-dice vendor. This month, CMC, next month, they may be made in India. Unfortunate.

I used 100 of these to put a video for my family reunion of our family tree. I did not have a problem with not one of them. I prefer Verbatim if I can get them at a reasonable price. The Hub Printable is so convenient.

Thanks, I love these they worked great and the printer did great and the dvd's looked good. Sometimes the color is off after printing but not on these.
