This is actually better than I expected. I am actually using it with a cheap android phone and it worked great. Pros: The audio quality is the same as any FM radio I listen to. The look and feel doesn't look like a cheap stuff. Cons: The build quality not that solid but it is fair for the price. Others: At the beginning the music is terrible and it turns out I turned my phone volume too loud. Once I turn it down and turn the volume of my car volume up, it is perfect.

I'm in the process of installing a bluetooth hands free on my wife's car and accidently happened upon this wireless FM transmitter and decided to give it a shot for my vehicle. I was actually not totally dissappointed for what I paid for this product as it turned out to work great for me just for listening to music through my iPhone ... I am actually able to answer a quick incoming call through the car audio speaker system to a reasonable degree (I wouldn't use it for long or sensitive conversations)

Used it today right out of the box (without charging) on my Android smart phone and this holder SKU: 0018828-001 to keep the transmitter right next to my car stereo. Frequency steps are 100 kHz. The signal was clear (at close proximity) running on the rechargeable battery. I haven't tested the battery length, the range, or the range when powered externally. Note that this has 3 contacts so it isn't for a phone with built in microphone/headset in the same jack. It may work and it may not wreck it. I don't know. Also note that this is the 3.5 mm/ 1/8" adapter as some phones come with the smaller 2.5 mm standard. The only con so far is the on/off switch feels like it could break off easily. It slides between positions, but also rotates a little which makes me concerned about its strength.

I wanted to wait a couple weeks to review this in case it broke for no good reason. It didn't. It works great- much better than my previous fm transmitter. The battery life seems a little low IMO, but for the price it is a five start purchase for me.

I'm using this with my iPhone 4s in my 2002 Audi TT. So far it works great. I used to have a Belkin and it was terrible. With this product, the sound is great and completely undistorted even when I'm streaming music from my 3G connection. The only thing I can see possibly becoming a problem is the jack. It's a bit loose so it might break off at some point.

Not my favorite because its transmission power isn't excellent, but does the trick well enough. Simple to use and easy connection design.
