I picked one of these up for work, we get newer versions of PC's and laptops all the time and often lose NIC drivers in the XP-downgrade process. Using the CD and selecting the correct driver for the OS, installation is a snap and connection to our wireless intranet was seamless and provided full signal strength. The unit does get pretty warm pretty quickly but it does have a heatsink in it, so i guess that's expected. I'm back on here now to buy another one for home use on a mac-mini. I've purchased a different brand from a different vendor before and it was 3X as much $$$ as meritline and was a refurb! For 10.99 brand new and shipped free, you can't beat this value. Thank you.

I purchased 2 of these and I have to say that they work great. I have Windows/Ubuntu/OSX all running in my house and this works on all of them (you have to install the driver for windows)Linux and Mac both recognize this immediately.

Good Wireless adapter... Worked very well as a replacement to an AT&T adapter I had that was very slow. With this new adapter I get much better connectivity. I use it to connect the kids PC from the second floor bedrooms to the basement. I get GOOD signal and the only reason (possibly) I don't get excellent is because I am using an older model Linksys router.

I bought this wireless adapter to use with an iBook that had no airport card. After I installed the drivers from the CD, and configured the internet connect settings, the iBook saw the adapter and it connected right away. If you put the iBook to sleep, it connects to the internet when you wake it up, without having to unplug the adapter, unlike some other adapters. For about $11, this is a great way to keep an older iBook useful for internet surfing. I highly recommend this adapter.

Great plug and play with strong reception. A little bit heat but still acceptable.

Install the software, plug it in. Bingo, it works. There are settings for the experienced user. I didn't need them. Default worked.

Great Product, I am completely satisfied with the product, especially for the price. The mini CD that was shipped with the product was of not much use, as it started working right away. I could use it with Linux - Fedora, OpenSUSE, Mandriva, however the LED turns ON green only on Windows XP. Hoping to see more products like this in the market!

The USB wireless adapter is so so. Not good not bad either. Initially I kept getting disconnected for some reason... and then later on had a stable connection. Meritline recently released a cheaper wireless adapter. I think I'd rather get that cheaper since they basically function the same. Plus this one gets hot after a few minutes.

Its good and worked without any issues with my Fedora Linux laptop. The only difference I found is the signal strength is little bit weak than the signal strength of internal router. I mean to say internal router is always best. And it gets heated after using for some time but I donot think its a problem

This is marvelously powerful and portable USB WiFi adapter. I am able to pull in signals better than with my internal WiFi adapter. I am very happy with this purchase.

I received my adapter, very quickly. Took it out of the package, located mini installation cd, quickly installed in my Compaq and have been receiving great serve ever since. It quickly located my wireless router, latched on and has been giving great service. Would recommend this product.

Easy to install and works just as well as the much more expensive D-Link one it replaced.

Receives wireless signal well, but speed sometimes drops from 54mps to 18mps. Don't know if that's hardware or software related.
