This product functions as described, but it is VERY sensitive. Sometimes, just moving a hand close to the door knob (without touching it) will set off the very loud alarm. If that amount of sensitivity isn't a problem for you, go for it. Also, packaging and instructions are in Chinese, but it's pretty simple to use.
