Does not work for Windows 7 64 bit. Included driver CD (Realtek USB 11n) works only for WinXP 32 bit and Vista 32 bit. Can't find drivers online. Driver link on product page does not work for XP 32 bit or Win7 64 bit (Ralink). Ralink drivers. Even when it works for WinXP 32 bit, reception is horrible (worse than laptop's builtin wireless 802.11g). It could be not very compatible with Win7 or Netgear router. Will try to return but may not be worth the return postage.

Premiertek may be the brand of this adapter but it's really Realtek RTL8188SU chipset and Realtek has the latest drivers for WinXP, Vista, and Win7 dated 3/30/2010. If you use my link above, make sure you scroll down to download the correct drivers for RTL8188SU. The 2 5 stars rating is to balance out the 1 star rating due to premature judgement of poor function due to nonfunction with Win7 due to lack of easy access to the correct drivers.

It's functioning fine now that I found Win7 64 bit drivers on the net. Google "Realtek RTL8188SU drivers" and you too will find it. Reception still poor but at least it works. Here's the direct link: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=228&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true

I installed the drivers and connected this device to two different machines, one a laptop, the other a desktop. On the laptop I kept getting a power surge error whenever I plugged it in. On the desktop it worked for about 5 minutes before the adapter started smoking and melting. I would not recommend this adapter at all.

Warning: over heat issue! I got the adapter today, and I dont have any driver install problem with windows 7 64bit. However, I am having over heat issue with the adapter. After 2-3 hours useage, the adapter became very high temperature and I can smell burning. So I took it off from the computer and wait till it coll down, then I found out the plastic cover got melted. So beware, guys! It's really a High Power Output Adapter! It can burn down you house!! I am going contact customer service for the issue.

I like the look. Not as tiny as the airlink but seems fast. It's about 3 minutes per gigabyte at 2 meters. But the software is very irritating. It forces me to log onto win XP using right hand mouse clicks. I give it a "D" for that. Fortunately, my airlink usb software also controls the "Wibee-N". It seems like a clone. Great Value.

This network adapter is suck. It uses too much power so if you have a good usb extension cable, it may work or else it won't start. The range it horrible as well. I have a wusb300n and it picks up my wireless connection and this one sometimes show it but cannot connect. Overall, not a very good network adapter. If it close, then you can use it or else, no good.
