Looked promising. Interface and esp the remote looked similar to the Patriot player, which is flawless. The Zinwell interface was slightly better with slightly smaller text but wider area to display more file info on one screen. Two major problems I encountered were (1) it did not support .iso files (although it says it does and most everyone else can play it) and (2) it flickered so slowly and so bad at 1080p that it was unusable at 1080p. It ran fine in all other resolutions and all other files. I couldn't connect to the internet, which is not necessarily the unit's problem (no media players connect to the Fios router, wired or wireless). Zinwell's website of firmware updates for the Zinwell had a broken link. I counted on Zinwell for support and they never responded to two emails. So POOR on Zinwell, GOOD on Meritline. Meritline refunded my purchase after returning the product.

Plays everything I threw at it. Streams nicely from my computer. Calls for a larger HD to be connected to the unit but works with my 16g thumb drive. BT down-loader is strange and doesn't work all the time. Menus can be confusing. Overall for the $ very nice product.

I had a WD media player which I couldn't play a lot of different video formats until my daughter recommend this one so, I ordered one. I recommend to who ever is lokking for the best ever medea player, dont look any further since this Zinwell is the one. First of all, this player play about all the different video formats which is a big deal. Second, it has a lot of different features including torrent movie downloading. Installation is very easy. I am using a power line network connector which is like having a wired internet connection. As soon as I connected this to internet, it asked me if I want it to be updated which I did and in a couple of minutes it updated itself. I really recommend if you are looking for a medea player, dont go with anything else. I bought it for $59 when it was on sale and I feel it worth twice as much.I usually never write a review but I was so pleased with this player that I couldn't not to write a review.

I've been using this item for about a month now ... It has smoothly played everything I tried including DVD ISOs which I've stored on shared disks on PCs in my network ... It was also very easy to install ... I utilize the HDMI connection and found this item to "play well" with the automatic 5 port HDMI switcher I have ... It also worked flawlessly with the Play On software that I have installed on my PC (Play On turns a PC into an Internet Media Server giving access to over 200 channels of HD content including Netflix) ... Would I recommend? ... Well, I plan to get several more for both bedroom and basement/game room TVs

I have this exact model (just not rebranded) and it works great. Plays everything I throw at it. You can even hook up an external DVD drive and play DVDs off of it, and it has HFS+ (mac) format support in addition to FAT, NTFS, etc. Like the other reviewer said, the Airlink 101 usb adapters work perfectly with the unit, just as if it was the official accessory (which are just Airlink units rebranded). The only downside is the UI is not as great as it could be (though they have been improving it in software updates) and there is no stylized subtitle displayed (it will read the stylized subs, but it will display them as plain text).

I don't have this exact item, I have it's little cousin, the Brite-View CinemaGo HD Mini. It works very well, plays most things I've thrown at it. Mounts and plays ripped DVD folders like an inserted DVD, which was my most critical feature. Low power too, which is nice. Works with the Airlink101 USB Golden 11N card available here, which won't block a USB port.

I am extremely pleased with this device. I bought it from MeritLine because they had the best price and free shipping. I use it mostly as a media server to play movie ISO files which are stored on my PC. I had trouble at first getting it to work with my Windows 7 based PC. I located a registry hack on the web that fixed the problem. The hack is shown at the bottom of this review. With a good, fast, Ethernet connection to your LAN, you will be amazed at how simple this unit is to use. Playing an ISO file is a dream come true for me. When you play an ISO file it plays just as if you had inserted a DVD. All controls: menu, chapter, fast forward, reverse, work well on the remote control. Viewing photo files is very cool. You have a large list of fades, swipes and dissolves. The audio and video Internet streaming function (via Muzee)works but be prepared to wait (up to 5 minutes) before the stream comes on-screen. You must have a fast Internet connection to use t

I brought the device mainly because the proclaim Internet TV\Radio feature. BIG mistake, Muzee Internet TV showed Invalid path\Logon Fail on the 7 of the 10 channels I tried. It took 3-5 minutes to load a station or display the error. Either way, it was a waste of time. By the way, the device kept freezing even I have updated the firmware. Played everything I threw at it though and the Meritline’s customer team was gracious and wonderful.

I was skeptical before I got this. This thing works great! It plays any music or video file format I throw at it. I wanted it so I could play my large collection of movie ISO files on my HDTV. It works like a charm. Playing a ISO file copy of a DVD works just like playing a DVD. I couldn't be more pleased. My recommendation: BUY IT!

Works very well as Multimedia Streamer from my local PC's & Server; also works with the Internet radio and TV stations and BitTorrent. Its somewhat slow aborting a bad Internet Radio or TV channel connection much like Windows hangs. As an HD streamer to your TV from from various PC's in you home I would definitely recommend it. The Internet options are a great sidekick but don't expect too much.
