Multiple new shows and movies are set to release that you can pin to your 2020 timeline. After the Mumbai visit of Jeff Bezoz, Amazon’s CEO, the platform released a sizzling reel of new and fresh titles along with some returning seasons. It is going to be a huge collaboration with creators like Nikhil Advani, Farhan Akhtar, Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar and more.
According to the video released, there are a total of 14 original series that you can binge-watch in 2020, out of which 8 are brand new. The list also includes the second installments of some fan-favorite shows as well like Mirzapur, Breathe and Made in Heaven.

Four More Shots Please!
The first season of Four More shots Please, was 10-episode long series focusing on the unceasing friendship of four women, their relationships, ambitions, work-life conflicts and anxieties. It was an all-women protagonist original starring Bani J, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo and Kriti Kulhari. And all the four unapologetically flawed women will continue their adventures in 2020.
The second season of this Indian television web series was announced on their social media. The shooting for the same is done in Turkey along with Mumbai.
Bandish Bandits
Bandish Bandits is a millennial love story set against the backdrop of musical clash of classical and pop music. It’s the story of two contrasting personalities Radhe, a classical Indian singer and Tamanna, a pop star. The series stars Shreya Singh Chaudhary and Ritwik Bhownik in the lead, along with Naseeruddin Shah, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Tridha Chaudhary, and Sanjay Nath in major roles.
The series will also be the digital debut of Shankar Ehsaan Loy, who feels that with Bandish Bandits the artistic format will be back to popular culture. It has definitely created a lot of buzz in the audience with its theme that music is restraint or liberation.
Mirzapur 2
Another Amazon Prime Original that was highly loved and appreciated by the viewers is Mirzapur. And the show has been renewed for the second season which is all set to release in 2020. This Indian crime thriller involves guns, lawlessness, and drugs.
The first season of Mirzapur was a 9-episode long series produced by Excel Entertainment. In the new season, stars like Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajesh Tailang, Divyendu Sharma, Rasika Duggal, and Amit Sial will be seen.
Breathe Season 2
Breathe has also been renewed for the next season. The first season featured R Madhavan and Amit Sadh in the main role. However this time, the intensity of the show will be double as Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan makes his entry. Amit Sadh will be reprising his role as the senior inspector, Kabir Sawant.
This crime drama thriller was Amazon Prime’s second Indian web series which focuses on only one question, till what extreme you can go to protect your family. Breathe Season 2 will be the next installment of the psychological thriller, and it is going to be double the thrill drama and suspense. Dilli
Another Amazon Prime web series that will be releasing in 2020 is a political drama called Dilli. It is a new web series starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia Mohd. Zeeshan Ayub, Sunil Grover, and Jane Dias.
Saif Ali Khan made his digital debut with the hit series Sacred Games on Netflix, and this is going to be his third venture online. However, the veteran actress Dimple Kapadia will be hitting the digital platform for the first time, with Dilli which explores the dark politics and ruthless powerful politicians of India.
Paatal Lok
Paatal Lok is a show featuring Gul Panag in the lead role. It is a crime drama series produced by Clean Slate Films. The show also features Jaideep Ahlawat, who you might remember from the film Raazi. Paatal Lok is another new series that will be releasing in 2020.
Anushka Sharma’s Paatal Lok is an investigative thriller, but it also has a sarcastic take on the modern-day Indian society and politics.
Gormint
Apart from Dilli, another political series that will come on Amazon Prime is Gormint. The show is going to mark the digital debut of Amol Palekar and Shikha Talsania. The show is a political satire, which is about a tired movie star who accidentally becomes a part of the Cabinet.
The title of the show is inspired by the Internet sensation, a Pakistani lady who declares in a video that “Bik Gayi hai Gormint.” You need not worry about the story as Ashish Shakya and Rohan Joshi from AIB are the writers, and so you can look up to this fictional political comedy show for sure.
The Family Man Season 2
The official trailer of The Family Man Season 2 is here. The show starring Manoj Vajpayee is an Indian action drama of a middle-class man working secretly as an intelligence officer. The series got a lot of appreciation for its story, screenplay, and performances. And so the second season is here.
The latest addition to the show is Telugu and Tamil superstar, Samatha Akkineni. She took to her social media account to share the news but hasn’t disclosed anything about her role. The audience is eagerly waiting for this one.
Mumbai Diaries 26/11
Mumbai Diaries- 26/11 is a fictionalized look at the hard work of the staff of Cama and Albless Hospital to protect the patients from the terrorists. In four days, across the city, the terrorist attacks killed about 166 people and injured more than 300 people. According to the short teaser video, scenes are set inside a hospital and there is complete mayhem as police vehicles rush to help.
The show features Konkana Sen Sharma alongside Mohit Raina and Tina Desai. As the name suggests the show gets its inspiration from the Mumbai Terror Attacks of 2008.
Inside Edge Season 3
While the second installment of Inside Edge was poorly received by the audience, the show is set to return for a third season. Vivek Oberoi, Aamir Bashir, Richa Chadha, Sayani Gupta, Angad Bedi, and Sapna Pabbi will be reprising their roles.
Inside Edge is an Indian web series focusing on the T20 Powerplay League cricket franchise. The game involves Mumbai Mavericks and how they face match-fixing problems.
