What it is: 5-LED headlight, powered by 3 AAA batteries. the LED can slip off of the headband and be portable, and has a magnet on the bottom so you can stick it to the sides of metal objects. There are 3 modes of the LED's; all on, all blinking, or each one blinking in order so it makes a back and forth pattern (think KITT). The Good: the magnet works fine for me. sticks to anything metal, including my refrigerator. the LEDs are pretty bright, about the same as my energizer light. the light angle is stuck in only one position, you can't angle it, but it's in almost the perfect angle for me. The Bad: construction quality is very poor. the battery case is held on by a tab which is meant to flex but it breaks before it flexes. so it will either be REALLY difficult to get the batter compartment off, or it will be too easy, and every time you go to take the light off the headband, the front of the headlight will pull out of the back (where the battery compartment is). if you're loo

Small form factor is good. Non-adjustable angle of light is a minus for me. Worth the price, though.

Very bright. But I don't see a need for two different flashing modes. A full LED and a two LED + one flashing would have been better. Other than that I'm very pleased.

So far, this has been a very good value. My son uses the light during for camp outs and he favors the light weight and durability. Don't expect a flashlight-like beam, but the output is good for its small size.
