The news of the renewal of Hunters on Amazon Prime Video for Season 2 is doing rounds on the Internet. But is it true? Created by David Weil, Hunters Season 1, was based on historical events where American track down the Nazis, facing some fictional twists. At the end of Season 1, a storyline for Hunters Season 2 was hinted, leading to a big revelation. And so here is everything that we know about the upcoming season of this dramatic historical series.
Hunters Season 2- Is It Getting Renewed?
The Hunters Season 1 ended after running for 10-successful episodes. However, Amazon hasn’t given a green signal for Season 2. The show had received positive reviews from the audience as well as from the critics. But still, it couldn’t make a mark as thought of. An impressive cast came together for the show and definitely has the potential of running for multiple seasons.
Amazon has given green signal to drama series like The Boys Hanna, and Carnival Row, while canceled the renewal of Too Old to Die Young. And so we can wait till April 2020, for the platform to officially confirm the Season 2 of Hunters.
Hunters Season 2- Release Date
There is no official announcement made regarding the second season of Hunters. But until Amazon announces the renewal, we can hope that the new season will release around the same time as Season 1. And so the filming and production should finish by this year, so that new episodes are released till February or March 2021.
And in case there are any conflicts regarding the cast and their schedules, then we can expect it to air later in the year.
Hunters Season 2- Who Will be the Cast in New Season?
The finale of the first season was quite shocking, and so the character of Al Pacino who is the main draw of the show will return, but only via flashbacks. And with the renewal of the show for Season 2, the other cast members will be returning in their roles.
Logan Lerman will be returning as Jonah Heidelbaum, Jerrika Hinton as Millie Morris, Lena Olin as The Colonel / Eva, Carol Kane as Mindy Markowitz, Saul Rubinek as Murray Markowitz along with Josh Radnor, Greg Austin, Tiffany Boone, Louis Ozawa, Kate Mulvany, Dylan Baker in their respective roles.
Hunters Season 2- Plot Details
Hunters Season 1 ended with Jonah locating Wilhelm Zuchs, the Nazi doctor aka The Ghost and killing him. However, it doesn’t seem to be right as Meyer later reveals his identity as The Ghost. And so we expect Al Pacino won’t be returning in the next season. The revelation shocks the titular squad, and they believe that Joe has left to start a new chapter of his life. However, the truth is that Joe has been kidnapped and moved to Argentina, where another huge twist awaited. Yes, Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun, his wife is still alive.
After all, this happened in season 1, one can expect Hunters season 2 to cover all over Europe and South America, and follow the life of numerous real-life, high-ranking Nazis who escaped after World War II to Argentina.
