The last season of Criminal Minds will premiere on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 9 p.m. E.S.T. and is going to be a two-hour premiere. Fans are really excited to see how the final 10 episodes are going to take a turn. The premiere will feature two episodes that will air consecutively. It will then air for one hour every Wednesday evening at 9 p.m.

It is only a few weeks to go until the last-ever season premiere for Criminal Minds, CBS has already dropped the first promo for the final season.

The second episode, called “Awakenings,” is going to being trouble for a member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Someone is likely to end up in the hospital while others will be seen in the search of Lynch as well as his daughter Grace.
Luckily, fans are also going to have some good goofy moments. Dr. Spencer Reid will visit with his mother Diana and fans can hope something good for both of them.
The trailer also confirms a long-held fan theory that something is going to happen to JJ. In another promo released, it was seen that Reid is trying to get hold of JJ, saying, “JJ, what’s your location? JJ, do you copy?” while JJ’s body is flung across the room, landing roughly on the ground.

Thankfully, yes Lynch who had been playing Reid’s genius mom on and off since the very first season; her character, Diana, suffers from schizophrenia, and Reid had Diana committed when he became an adult. In season 12, Diana was kidnapped, and after she was saved by the BAU she and Reid had an emotional reunion.
