It takes some serious contemplation for colleges and universities to introduce a new program into their curriculums. However, in the case of technology, educational institutions seem to be more than interested in offering promising innovations.

Virtual Reality or VR is one such immersive technology that has taken the world by storm. Its several applications vary from gaming to classrooms, creating more career streams.

Unfortunately, even in a VR course, you would be expected to complete a few writing assignments. If you need assistance with any essays for term papers, turn to for help. You will surely thank us later for the tip.

The virtual reality market is expected to reach 16.3 billion USD by 2022. With research centers and labs dedicated to developing such technologies, similar forecasts have pushed colleges to launch effective course programs for students to engage in VR learning.

While the prevailing education system focuses on theories and written papers, VR programs offer a much more stimulating experience for students.

Here are five colleges that have succeeded in creating powerful programs for immersive reality.

Savannah College of Art and Design

SCAD introduced the B.F.A in Immersive Reality course in 2018 and has soon climbed to the top of the best VR programs in the US. The first class will graduate in 2022, and the program is panning out in the best way possible. The curriculum focuses on the integration of virtual reality in sound design, visual effects, and tech resources.

London College of Communication

London College of Communications is one of the top schools that offer both Bachelors and Masters in Virtual Reality. The program allows the study of the concept and its application across visual effects, gaming, and filmmaking,

Students will have world-class technologies at their disposal at LCC to work with professionals and students of animation, film design, and gaming fields. The BA program is developed for three years, and the MA is for one year. It focuses on advanced experimental and critical practices.

San Diego State University

The Virtual Immersive Teaching and Learning or VITaL at San Diego State University offers a learning experience much different from the traditional setup. The program was introduced in 2017. It promotes immersive learning by using it in research and teaching in several fields such as physics.

The college has built a Learning Research Studio that helps students to experiment with VR and its prospects in different study areas. The courses that utilize VITaL learning technologies include art, astronomy, computer science, geography, humanities, engineering, and many more.

Deakin University

Deakin University, situated in Melbourne, Australia, has a dedicated program offering a Graduate Diploma in Virtual and Augmented Reality. The course aims at creating immersive environments for the user in a number of industries such as entertainment, science, construction, and education.

It is designed for professionals with a previous degree or at least two years of work experience in a relevant field to master the latest emerging technologies. Also, the university has a placement program that helps students launch their careers and expand the professional network.

New York Film Academy

NFYA provides short term Virtual Reality workshops to encourage students to use the technology for concept development, production, and design. The program lasts for eight weeks and trains the students the extent of VR in gaming and cinematic experiences.

A collaboration of the departments of filmmaking, game design, and animation, the school offers two courses in Narrative VR and Game Design. While the former includes exercises for screenwriting for VR, directing, production and other specialized areas, the later focuses on 3D animation and reality.

Wrapping Up

Many other educational institutions are only scratching the surface of the VR field as a learning program and a method to enhance the educational experience. The colleges are also seeking to bring together diverse disciples and stakeholders to further encourage students to pursue VR as a career choice.
