Bulbul
Anushka Sharma’s production, along with Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films, Bulbul, is a film that is based on a period piece. The story is set in a vibrant atmosphere of the village, which is plagued by haunting stories and mysterious deaths amidst age-old beliefs and superstitions. Bulbul is a man trying to save a village from a witch.
The Laila Majnu actor Avinash Tiwary has been on a roll. And the horror film also has Tripti Dimri as the female lead in Netflix original.
Bulbul has been shot in Kolkata and is a period drama. The release date has not been sorted yet but is sure to get the hype. It will be interesting to see the performance of Anushka Sharma as a producer.
Ghost Stories
The Ghost Stories is yet another upcoming Netflix Original Movie released on 1st January 2020. It is a horror based movie directed by Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Basu, and Dibakar Banerjee.

Guilty
The Guilty likely to start Kabir Singh actress, Kiara Advani is produced by Dharmatic and directed by Ruchi Narain.
Guilty focuses on exploring the versions of the truth. The story follows a small-town girl who accuses the college heartthrob of sexual assault.
Freedom
The film is directed and produced by Dibakar Banerjee. It portrays the story of an Indian family interwoven with the personal, ideological and sexual history of India. Plus how the desire plays a common role in each of the genres.
Maska
Maska is a Netflix original film that marks the acting debut of Shirley Setia, also known by the pseudonym “Pyjama Popstar. Along with her, the other cast includes Prit Kamani, and Nikita Dutt, playing pivotal characters in the film. The film is directed by Neeraj Udhwani and produced by Seher Aly Latif and Shivani Saran’s Mutant Films.
The film revolved around the confused but young millennial who is set out on a desperate journey to fulfill his fantasy of becoming a movie star. The twist in the tale comes when a summer romance with a clear-headed girl helps him discover the fine line between dreams and delusions.
Serious Men
The actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been roped in to play the lead in Netflix’s upcoming film Serious Men. It is an adaption of Manu Joseph’s book of the same name. The film is produced by Bombay Fables and Cineraas Entertainment.
The story of the film revolves around a wily slum dweller, who cons the country into believing his dim-witted 10-year-old son is a genius to realize that the only victim of his dangerous game is his son.
Yeh Ballet
Directed by Sooni Taraporevala and produced by Roy Kapur Films, this is a story about two boys from very low-income families who were introduced to the dance form of ballet. Also according to the story, these boys were the first in India to get a scholarship to study at ballet school in the United States of America
Mrs. Serial Killer
Netflix seems to have decided to scare people with its horror stories. Yes, yet another thriller based movie, Mrs. Serial Killer is directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Farah Khan. The film is going to mark the digital space debut of Jacqueline Fernandez.
The synopsis of the movie reads as -When her husband is framed and imprisoned for serial murders, a doting wife must perform a murder exactly like the serial killer to prove her husband innocent.

As the name suggests, fashion designer Masaba Gupta enacts in the show along with her mother, Neena Gupta making her debut digitally. She plays herself as a woman who is learning to embrace her unconventional path in a world where everyone’s expected to fit in. The series is created and produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Viniyard Films and will be directed by Sonam Nair.
The synopsis reads the real-life moments from the space of Masaba Gupta who follows her unique background, and the diverse worlds she straddles across fashion and family, along with her foray back into the dating world. It is going to be a fun series that will come with tongue-in-cheek humor.
Bombay Begums
Bombay Begums is created, written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava who has also directed Lipstick Under My Burkha, Made in Heaven is back with yet another series. It is executive produced by Chernin Entertainment and EndemolShine India. The show is based in a big city in India.
The five women from contemporary urban India, across generations, wrestle with desire, ethics, personal crises and vulnerabilities to own their ambition. As each woman strives to find her own truth, they find in each other an unexpected understanding and the sliver of a bond.
Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega
Directed by National Award-winning director Soumendra Padhi, Jamtara is inspired by true incidents. This one is the story of young, ambitious, volatile people who have the world before them. The ensemble cast of the series includes Amit Sial, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aksha Pardasany, Sparsh Srivastava, Monika Panwar and Anshumaan Pushkar.
Messy
American actor and director, Ravi Patel stars in the series, created and co-written with Neel Shah. The series is co-produced by The District’s David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer and Mutant Films’ Seher Aly Latif and Shivani Saran.
The story follows the life of Mumbai’s rising stand-up comic, Beanie, who is struggling to balance a career in comedy with pleasing a yuppie day-job boss, peculiar BFF, persistent parents, and proposal-popping boyfriend. Messy is her quest to find her own voice and get her life together in the midst of all the mayhem.
