Designed for athletes as an all-in-one device for swimming, cycling and running. The Garmin Forerunner 910XT provides crucial and detailed data on swim metrics, distance, pace, elevation and heart rate. The FR910XT is the smallest multisport watch that Garmin has made to date, being both slimmer than the FR310XT and FR305.
The Forerunner 910XT is water resistant up to 50 meters. For many years no Garmin product was able to gather data as detailed data as this sports watch can inside a pool. The largest change is the ability for the FR910XT to support lap-swimming, record distances, speed, strokes and more. That’s not all, it sports an improved openwater swim mode with and provides stroke metrics and has improved accuracy as compared to the FR310XT. One of the little improvements between the FR910XT and that of the FR310XT is the ease at which you can remove a wet suit. Designed specifically as many have experienced pain on the wrist when removing a wet suit with the 310XT on.
For triathlons, dualthlons or multisport enthusiasts, this is definitely the watch for you. It can track your cycling distance, speed and much more. The new feature of the Garmin Forerunner 910XT is its barometric altimeter for extremely accurate elevation data for both ascent and descents. Advanced users can opt for ANT+™ sensors for speed/cadence sensors, heart rate monitors or power meter. The Forerunner 910XT has a quick release kit, allowing you to transit between sports easily. The difference between the 310XT and 910XT is the ability for you to customize up to 5 different bikes. The FR910XT is designed to be worn on either your wrist or on the bike mount quick-release system similarly to the Edge 500/800.
Just like most or GPS, the Forerunner 910XT is no different being able to tell you where you went, how fast you were and how long you took. It saves all the data and uploads it to Garmin Connect. On the ground, the Forerunner provides your lap pace, distance and heart rate. The watch can provide you with an imaginary person to keep pace with. Also, the new feature is the Run/Walk functionality. Garmin knows it is hard to keep pace with marathoners and hence developed this system. The idea of this system is to allow you to walk but not letting you escalate it to non-stop walking as we all very well know. Hence, a system of 10 minutes of running and 2 minutes of walking will let you catch and breath and continue! The 20-hour battery life won’t need to let those ultra marathoners break a sweat for their run data.
