Cigarettes have been part of Arabs’ lives for the past decade, and while consumption is not among the highest in the statistics, smoking 7 to 10 cigarettes a day is also bad for health. Recently, there has been a lot of public discussion about the need to stop smoking cigarettes and move to new alternatives that offer life-changing changes for smokers. However, many are not leaving their main goal of quitting smoking, but to change their habits and consumption without replacing tobacco with other chemicals or similar materials.

Electric cigarettes, tobacco heaters like IQOS, and chewing tobacco were new offerings that we suggest you choose to use in this experiment to test the difference between burning tobacco and other alternatives. But we can’t give you any guarantees about whether you will switch to these smoking options. Will you still be able to enjoy yourself? Will you feel cheated? All of this makes me nervous.

Affordability of choice, that’s a major indicator of the modern world. That’s why we offer you to read the experience of some smokers who wanted to remain incognito, but they have a lot of experience with different types of tobacco smoking and want to share it with you.

The experience of using chewing tobacco

I felt like a baseball player, a mobster, a soap opera actor, and a native Indian at the same time. It was a very surreal experience because I hadn’t felt this way before. Who doesn’t want to be a soap opera actor? I remember one time I asked my grandfather to buy me one, and he said I was too young to deal with such things. It’s a good thing he didn’t because it had a flavor that I didn’t like at all. They say that chewing tobacco relaxes the nerves, gives a sense of relief, and can have an effect similar to marijuana but less intense – when I heard that, I thought they were exaggerating.

The taste is very strong and a little stifling, like mint gum; although at one point I started to feel nauseous, it’s not necessarily unpleasant. You don’t have to eat it, but the amount of saliva you produce is too much, and sometimes it dissolves. The key is a bit like a chill, it made me burp a little and sharpened my senses.

It’s a tough experience, though, I insist, not unpleasant. I thought it would leave an unpleasant taste in my mouth, but it actually left me feeling fresh. The next few times I put less tobacco and kept it between my lips and gums, and it was much more tolerable.

RATING: 3/5.

The IQOS tobacco heating experience

This movie made me feel like I was in the future or the modern Netflix series everyone is talking about on Twitter. I think it’s a good alternative to IQOS Saudi for a few places, especially where smoking is treated very radically. I also know it’s very popular in other parts of the world. I like the feel of it, I like the feel of it being stylish. And the fact that the mouthpiece of the device is similar to a traditional cigar mouthpiece is great.

I recently started seeing this device in several stores in Riyadh. It caught my eye at the time, but I hadn’t had a chance to try it until now. I liked the idea of being able to buy real tobacco with different intensities and flavors. The design is practical, it doesn’t get in the way, and it doesn’t require a lot of storage space.

Most of all, I liked the taste of real tobacco. When heated – rather than light with a lighter – the discernible notes are quite pleasing, and the fact that it produces no ash and does not smell like a traditional cigarette makes it an alternative that, besides doing the design part, opens the door to new technology for more efficient tobacco consumption without sacrificing flavor and aroma.

I liked the size, flavor, and shape of the mouthpiece. And the feeling of being in the future is something I always appreciate. Also, the significant reduction in toxic substances in the smoke by replacing it with tobacco vapor makes IQOS a significant alternative to traditional cigarettes. It was like if you were used to eating burnt cookies, but here you suddenly tried cookies baked to perfection.

RATING: 4/5.

Experience with Electronic Cigarettes

I have tried this method of smoking before. Many people have stuck with it. And maybe once is a good thing. Or two. But when you become that person who carries two liters of “juice” for their cigarette and is more concerned about the taste of their resistance than paying the rent, you have to stop.

I once really got stuck in the vaping universe for a few weeks. Sometimes I like to get into devices like this to add some fun to my days and to have something to talk about with the people who write to me. I had to try it again for this experiment and be true to it.
