His Dark Materials Season 2 Cast- Who Will Return?
So the new season of this fantasy drama will pick up from the point where the first season left. And so the original cast will definitely return in their respective roles. Dafne Keen will return as Lyra Belacqua, Clarke Peters as The Master, Ruth Wilson will be reprising her role as Marisa Coulter, James Cosmo will return as Farder Coram, James McAvoy as Lord Asriel, Ariyon Bakare as Lord Boreal, and Lin-Manuel Miranda will be reprising his role as Lee Scoresby.
Only one cast member who won’t be returning to the screen is Lewin Lloyd as his character Roger Parslow dies in the end. According to the news, Andrew Scott will enter Season 2 as Colonel John Parry.
His Dark Materials Season 2- Plot Details
His Dark Materials revolves around the life of Lyra, a young orphan girl, who is a scholar at the Jordan College, Oxford. When she goes on a search to find her friend, she comes across a series of kidnapping; she discovers a mysterious substance called Dust.
The second season is based on Pullman’s second novel, The Subtle Knife. While the first part got lost in narrative a bit, we hope an impressive attempt in the second season. Magisterium will be playing a greater role than before. Also, Parry might join Lyra in her journey in Cittagazze.
Wrapping Up
After the end of an amazing Season 1, a new season had to come. But will we have to wait a bit more due to the outbreak of pandemic? Can’t say anything about this, but I’m sure that this time, be ready for larger, darker and stronger episodes.
