These sunglasses are a really cool toy. The spy camera works as advertised, however the sunglasses part, specifically "The glasses are made of Polaroid mirror Lens which can block ultraviolet radiation and its high quality and special material make the glasses shock-proof and anti-static electicity and its TR 90 flame." is not true. The lenses are very foggy and cannot be seen thru clearly at all. Very poor quality lenses. Will contact to check on replacement lenses because these lenses suck. Fun to play with, bad to try looking thru.

I was the one with the 'foggy' lenses. This was a misunderstanding on my part that a protective plastic coating is applied to both sides of the lens. Once removed, I am VERY VERY PLEASED with the final result. To the gentleman having difficulty, the red LED only comes on when connected to the USB cable downloading &/or charging. The blue LED lites for pics or movie (WITH audio, no seperate audio only is available). Press and hold the the blue LED flashes while recording. Press and hold and recording stops. A quick press takes a snapshot. Press and hold power to turn off. Just play with it for about 20 minutes and you will get used to it. These are awesome. Takes great videos (w/audio) and great photos. Very easy to download and erase from microSD card to computer. Highly recommended for some fun!

"Will it work w/o a card?" No. You MUST use a micro SD card. I use a 4GB Kingston card found @ Meritline for under $8 shipped. Works VERY well. "Can you plug it in your computer out of the box as a webcam?" I haven't tried to use them as a webcam, but everything else has been as described so I have no doubt they will excel as a web cam. "Are the drivers for file transfer only?" The drivers are for playback and transfer. Also I'm sure for use as a webcam also. I continue to buy from Meritline because I get what I paid for, and usually exceeds my expectations. Read the feedback for the lens covering issue. I just took these to the Zoo with my family and we had a great time together. And these spy glasses did a fantastic job recording the animals and my family having fun. I highly recommend these glasses. The resolution is surprisingly crisp and sharp. Great toy.

To the above buyer. The lenses has a plastic coating that you have to remove from BOTH sides of the lens. I have these as well and I don't not have your complaint. I see fine though the lenses. In any event, the lenses are removable and then you can use the frames as a camera that looks everywhere you do. Camera is fine but be careful of taking them off and hitting the micro SD card. It can fall out without you knowing it while on your head.

Figured how to correctly set the time (Google is your friend). Make a file called Time.txt and put date and date/time in the following format: yyyy.mm.dd hh:mm:ss These are actually good driving sunglasses. Instructions are inaccurate and terribly written. The avi video format is MJPEG/WAV, so video takes up a lot of room (1 gig=25 min). Had to format MicroSD to FAT (FAT16) to avoid video/audio hitches with slower NTFS and FAT32. Video is decent quality, but doesn't work well in low light (expected) and the microphone seems to be in a bad spot because sounds are a little muffled when wearing. Pictures are a waste as the images are overly interpolated. Overall, I got what I expected.

OK, I think I can simplify the operation a bit. First, turn the unit on by pressing the power (left) button a few seconds. This will illuminate the blue light. If you want to take a snapshot press the camera (right) button once quickly. You can keep pressing quickly, each time taking a snapshot. If you hold down the camera button for a few seconds and release, it will enter the video recording mode. The blue light will blink continuously while recording video. To stop recording just press the camera button again. It will quickly blink, showing the file is writing to the card, then steadily illuminate (standby mode). To turn power off, hold power button for a few seconds and release. Haven't gotten any further as of yet (audio recording and web cam). All in all a cool device for the money.

If somebody has already figured-out on how to update the data/time stamp, kindly publish your procedure, if anything different from how it was described in the manual. Will really appreciate it. Thanks.

Great buy and value for money. Bought it for $24.99 when it was still $26.99. Very poor instruction manual, but very happy with video resolution, but not so much with still photo, but still acceptable. Mine seem to not have the plastic film on both sides of lens. Can't figure-out how to update Date/Time. My findings: 1) Quick press of ON/OFF button will turn ON (Amber light ON) or OFF the unit. 2) When at "ON" state, another quick press of Power button will capture still photo (blue light will blink). 3) Quick press of Play/Pause button will Start (blinking blue light) or Stop (stop blinking blue light/amber light ON) video recording. 4) When "ON", but 3mins of inactivity will turn-OFF the camera. Power saving feature not mentioned in manual.

Great value but be careful with the cheap plastic. Not for heavy use. Try it without loading the software because it's buggy. Instructions are poorly written but search the model # on the net for better instructions.
