This is a little marvel of a router. When I first laid eyes on it I couldnt help but scoff, thinking that it would be a little novelty router that would maybe work very minimally but I had to try it because it was so small and easy to carry it seemed. Turns out this little baby is packed with all the features of much larger and more expensive brands. Another plus is the fact that it turns any thing with a usb port into a wireless client. For example my TV has a usb port so I connected the little Edimax to it and voila I am wirelessly streaming video content to my TV. This is amazing considering the cheapest thing I can find that is advertised to do this is almost 200 dollars/. Now I know that lots of routers can be configured to be used as wireless adapters but most people dont know this. Anyways if you get a chance grab a couple of these guys and you can make all your stuff wireless. Got a nice printer but it is in the way because it has to be within WIRE range?? not now

I picked up this router on sale about a week ago. The reviews were really good and they were not lying. This thing is tiny, but it packs a punch. In the past week while playing I set it up in universal repeater mode and as an AP in WISP mode. Both worked great and were pretty easy to setup. I powered the router off of the included power adaptor, off my wife's macbook, and off of a usb port on a Dell monitor with no problems. This little router is now in the pocket in my laptop back that has all my goodies. As a side note I was showing the router off to my coworkers and they couldn't believe how small it was yet it's still a fully packed N router.

I didn't buy this here but got it as a used gift. I have to say this little wireless router is AMAZING! It pretty much works right out of the box, with very little setup. I use it when staying in hotels that only offer wired connections in the room. It is also workable as a client, repeater or bridge (not entirely sure how they differ but I mean it can extend another router's signal if you need to).

This is a great device! I tried the router functions and they worked perfectly. The coolest thing (IMO) is the "Stastion Infrastructure" mode - it connects anything with an ethernet port to your wireless network - game consoles and PRINTERS. I wanted to relocate my older ethernet connected laser printer but there was no network connection - I used the Edimax BR-8258n to connect it to my wireless network - works PERFECTLY! I ordered 4 more just to have handy.

Excellent travel router on the road. Very small and easy to setup. The range is surprisingly suffiscient. The only funny part is that the power supply is bigger than the router...

Works pretty well for the size, limited distances as you would expect with no external antenna. Note, that it will NOT run without a power source (either the included brick or off the USB port on a computer), even though the sale materials appear to indicate it will run just off the RJ45 connector. The only other downside is that, as other reviewers have noted, it is slow to reboot, which is kind of aggravating. Worth the 24 simolians paid for being able to travel with it.

Love this device! I use it as an access point client to provide wireless access to my wired devices (servers and VoIP phones) and it works very well!

Used for a WiFi access point on my wired network for a Nintendo WII. Was very easy to set up and worked first time. Tried some other supposed hot point they would not install on my wired network. Very small footprint also and powered from USB port on computer.

This little gadget is AWESOME! Easy to configure as router or repeater; it does everything it promises. Incredible support from Edimax - their tech support woman spent way too much time getting my system up and running, mostly due to my errors and idiosyncrasies. Their website-based configuration help is far superior to the DVD that's included. Two badger-paws WAY up for this little gem! Highly recommended!
