With Mygica EZgrabber, you can capture all the video clips from your video source devices such as VHS/VCR/DVD/TV/DV camcorder before they disappear by using DVD Studio software. An only-we-have "push to start push to stop" button will help you to record the selected clips comportably when you watch the movies playing on your video device. When you find clips to capture, just push the button of the EZgrabber once, it will start recording automatically to PC hard disk. Push Button again to stop the recording when you want to stop. A file name will be automatically generated by software and save in the folder you choosed. Repeat pushing the button and you will save all the clips you want. Push button is easy to use. includes Ulead software. Same as other reviewers, this is for PC users.

Looks like possibly the same manufacturer does produce a product called the iGrabber. It's nearly double the price (SRP), without included software, so one would hope there is a difference in the products.

Nice product. Fast delivery. User friendly (install software, hook up cable, press play on VCR, press record on EZGrabber tool, wola). All I want i is to transfer old movie from VHS to DVD. I'm able to do so with this item.

Seems to work pretty great. I bought this to record gameplay from xbox 360 on my laptop. I don't have the most powerful laptop so I ended up experiencing some lag (expected). I was able to hook my xbox up to the only TV in my house with out-ports that included video and use the component cables that came with this to hook it up to my laptop which let me play without worrying about lag. Overall i'm really happy with it. And it works on windows 7 :)

If you have a Mac there (at Meritline), why not download the Roxio software here: http://softwareupdates.roxio.com/gm/updaters/mac/vhs-to-dvd-mac/roxio_ev2d_capture_update_1.0.2.zip ...and let us know if it works with the Mygica hardware. If so, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I'd be happy to test it on my Mac and, if it works, buy the hardware. Let me know. Thanks!

It works. Hook up the VCR to this device, plug it into your PC's USB port and capture video. There are a few issues that may not be this device's fault: 1) The captured video "jitters" slightly. This is most obvious with a patterened background (say a brick wall). This hapenned with 2 different VCRs. 2) The video quality is significantly lower than the original VHS tape. This is even when capturing at DVD level, which is the highest. The color is washed-out anf the sharpness is diminished. 3) When capturing with Nero software, the sound doesn't come thru. The EZgrabber software captures the sound just fine. As I said, I don't know if these issues are because of the device, the software, the PC or the VHS player.

This item was very easy to use and picture quality is good except the picture had a slight jitter transferring a VCR tape to the HD so I used a second VCR player with the same results, other than that I like this item.

Good value for money. The recorder performs quite well and all features are as mentioned. Easy to use and simple to connect. The included software could have been a lot better. But like i said, it's very good value for money.

The EZGrabber and associated software worked well out of the box. The quality of the captures was good. It worked well with Microsoft Movie Maker.

I was hoping it would work in Sony Vegas but it does not. Works well after installing the Ulead software but from what I've captured, there seem to be some audio sync issues
