Item reached me in 8 calendar days. It's compact, about 3.25" x 1" x 0.5", comes with a black plastic case (no belt loop), sewn at the seams. Mine is white. You can use it without the LED in bright light, but it works best with the LED. The focus is fine (slow and precise), and the depth of field is very slight. The image is sharp at 60X, a hair less sharp at 100X. There might be a little false color at 100X (chromatic aberration) as well as a little vignetting, but neither of these are enough to be a problem. It's easy to focus and to zoom in on an object, although the hole you can place over an object is small, about 0.25" (although it's slightly oval). It's very light, and ideal for backpacking, for example. All in all, given the good optical quality, this is an excellent value.

Not laboratory grade. But I was very surprised at how well this works.It's small and cheap enough to carry in your pocket and use in the field, and it's not a big deal if it gets damaged. I paid less than 10 bucks for mine, I think it's a good deal for the price.

I have ordered a total of 3 of these devices. The first two were white. They were such a big hit, that one of them was given away at a holiday party. I bought a third to replace it. The third microscope was black, and it was built slightly differently (on the inside). The black one had a far greater magnification. Obviously, both are not 160x-200x, but they're both a great deal of fun. These microscopes are simple to use and actually work quite well for the price. In fact, the second white microscope may be given to my friend's father who also found the device to be fun. I would recommend this purchase.
